The Director General of Petroleos Mexicanos (Pemex), Emilio Lozoya Austin, has named Gustavo Escobar Carré as the new Director office of the Corporate Directorate of Supply and Procurement Manager (DCPA), following the resignation of Arturo Henríquez Autrey. The head of Pemex thanked Henriquez their commitment and dedication in his management.

In a statement from the company, the official added that this area will continue to strengthen to adopt international best practices in the field.

The now former Director of Pemex Procurement,  Arturo Henríquez Autrey, was exposed, at the end of last month, in a photograph along with Amado Yáñez, owner of Oceanography. The journal Reform unveiled this image, where a private meeting held in Los Cabos, Baja California, in the year 2013.

Arturo Henríquez Autrey is clearly seen in the picture and described the meeting as of "social nature". He denied that there has had negotiated benefits for the company.

Lozoya Austin explained that the creation of the DCPA has been instrumental in the transformation of the company, by centralizing purchasing and procurement of goods and services, What has allowed generating significant savings and make more efficient, Agile and transparent processes in the field of procurement.
